Plumber Carlisle

Yesterday here at Emergency Plumber Carlisle we received a call from a gentleman who owned a student property in Carlisle where water was dripping through the ceiling into a students room. Our emergency plumber Carlisle got there quick time as it was a real emergency as the leak was close to a light and the students computer.

Firstly we noticed that the shower was not draining away and that the tray was quickly filling up and overflowing which initially looked like the source of the water.

The shower waste was unblocked and whilst this solved one problem the water soon started dripping again.

Further investigation revealed a leak from a water heater. The heater was beyond repair so we flew over to Travis Perkins and picked up a new one.

Once that was fitted and new connectors fitted the crisis was over, thanks to our emergency plumber Carlisle.

Leaving the students to get on with their all important studies in their beautiful period house overlooking the Castle.

It is alway very stressful to find yourself in the middle of a plumbing emergency which is why we strive to offer the very best service possible,

There are a couple of things which you yourself should know which will help keep things calm until the plumber arrives.

Firstly you should know where your indoor water stop tap is located. This way you can turn off the water coming in to your property and reduce water damage. This is often a tap with a large brass handle in the cupboard under your kitchen sink. This should be turned clockwise to turn off. Run a cold water tap and you should see the water slow down and eventually stop.

The second thing to help is knowing the location of the main outside stop valve. This is usually at the front of the house and the cover should have the word WATER or the letter W on it
